Something About Me
I love God, and I love teaching kids. I was brought up in Barbados, West Indies and love surfing, cricket, rugby, and squash. My nickname was “Boogieman” because I started surfing with a Morey Boogie Board. As a teen, I was kicked out of my uncle’s house, quite literally, because of my foolish, lost ways. I bounced around, lived in my car, and started college a few times, but nothing really stuck until Jesus answered the question I was often known to ask, “What is the meaning of life?”
I became a Level 3 USA Archery Coach to work with my son Josiah, who still has records in Colorado which have not been broken. Both my sons and I learned to play Disc Golf together. My youngest son Gabriel, became the 2021 Junior Disc Golf World Champion and my son Josiah is presently a professional disc golfer. My Daughter Abigail is an AKC Professional Dog Handler and Dog Trainer. She is flown all over the country by dog owners of all kinds of breeds, to prepare and show their dogs. The kids in my classes have been known to be a bit loud with excitement. I see this as a gift. Freedom to be creative in class is key for me. I’m self-directed. You don’t need to worry about holding my hand. Just a sprinkle of sincere encouragement every now and then, goes a long way for me.
